Directing

Below are some films that I directed over the years. If you take a look, please let me know what you think!

CRACKED AND EMPTY (SUBMITTING TO FILM FESTIVALS) - 16 Min - 2019
Newest short film -
The dishes and bottles in this small kitchen can talk to each other. The drink bottles fill the drink glasses and they enjoy the parties that the humans throw. In the cabinet lives a lonely whiskey glass named Tessa, whom was once chipped by an expensive bottle of whiskey named Charly and never used again. Tessa lives in the cabinet with the other glasses as they tease her for her perceived uselessness and mock her for her positivity. One day the humans throw a party and run out of clean glasses so they use Tessa again. This reunites her with the whiskey bottle Charly. Her first party was also his first party and they never forgot each other. They make amends and express their love for each other. After the party, the glasses can be washed and reused, but what will come to be of an empty bottle? In this ridiculous dark comedy, we're shown through the everyday inanimate objects of our own kitchens that you don't have to have a beating heart to be Cracked and Empty.

SMOKED - 5 Min - 2008
Winner for Best Short Film at the KC Horror Shorts Film Contest 2008

SMOKED ANIMATIC - 2 Min - 2008
Before I planned and organized the shoot for the short film, I drew storyboards and animated them. I did this to show my team what type of mood and film that I wanted to make. I think that it was worth the effort. It was easy to show everyone what I was looking for. Enjoy!

INTERVIEW - 5 Min - 2007
Short film for submission for the TV Show "On The Lot"

FOSTERS BEER SPEC SPOT - 2006

I had an idea for this Fosters beer commercial awhile back. I never heard back from Fosters about it but needless to say they didn't use my idea. My friend David Daneman (https://www.daviddaneman.com/comics.html) did the artwork and I did the (very basic) animation. Check out his site, he has some really funny comics!

REQUIES - 16 Min - 2005

A student is followed by a womans ghost through his daily routine. A mistake that he can never take back permeates in every aspect of his existence. The only way to stop the ghost from returning is to stop it happening to someone else.

This was my final film school project from the University of Kansas.
